Dr Sally Price is a Functional Medicine practitioner, speaker, health coach and teacher who enjoys educating health professionals and the general public.
Dr Price qualified in Medicine at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London before coming to Australia where she undertook General Practice training gaining the FRACGP. Study continued with Dr Rajen Cooppan in Ayurvedic Health care and Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis with Dr Igor Tabrizian. She completed ACNEM training, gaining the FACNEM in November 2012. Bio balance courses provided further learning in Nutrient Therapy for Mental Health with Dr William Walsh.
Dr Price’s recent focus in the last few years has been the impact of the gut microbiome, in particular in anxiety and depression. This is where the new scientific paradigm of the Microbiome merges with the ancient science of Ayurveda, where “all disease begins in the gut.” Dr Price works with patients with a focus on Nutritional & Lifestyle medicine.
Dr Price lectures for Australasian College of Nutritional & Environmental Medicine, and was an invited speaker at the inaugural Australasian Society for Lifestyle Medicine conference in 2016. She has presented public educational talks and appeared as a Q & A panelist for the WA screening of the “What’s with Wheat” Documentary.
Dr Price has convened day workshops for health professionals with invited speakers from the Eastern States, organised & mentored a group of doctors & health professionals and provided a continuing professional development seminar series for doctors, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, nurses & naturopaths.
